We love snow. Our family enjoys going to Mount Washington to snow tube and the kids even tried out skiing last year.
We try to be outside as much as possible, even during the winter months. We are very thankful when we get snow (instead of rain - we live in Nanaimo, BC) and it opens up a whole other world of outdoor activities (fort building, snow angels, snow sculptures).
Here's hoping for a few good snow storms this season!
Favourite winter activity is making snowballs with my bean. Looking forward to heading outside with her today and also seeing how our newest bean enjoys the snow for his first snowfall.
My bean and mine favorite activity is to go outside when it's snowing like crazy and make snowman, snow angels, catching snowflakes on our tongue and laughing. Then going inside and warming up with a nice cup of hot chocolate! I love winter!
Because we don't get snow very often in the city, I love getting the girls up in the morning, throwing on the snow suits over our PJ's and getting outside to build our snow"family". Got to do it before the rain washes it all away ;)

I have a wee bean of 6 months so just getting out and having her experience the cold on her cheeks and little red nose is fun for us. Then of course warm cuddles when back inside.
Our favourite winter activity is skating on the outdoor rinks in our city. Now that my bean is playing hockey, she loves going skating whenever she gets a chance.
Downhill skiing – by far! I was in a yoga class focusing on my breathing when I thought about skiing; what do I do when I ski, I’m sure I breath, don’t I? So, the next time I went skiing I remembered to think about it. I was barreling down a black diamond at about 75km/h when I thought about it, and guess what? I was grinning from ear to ear – found my happy place! I’m outside, I’m being active, I’m with people I love, the sun is shining and I’m fulfilling my need for speed. What more could a girl ask for!
This is our first winter in our new house; turns out our front yard is a perfect sledding hill for our two little Beans! We love sliding down the hill and then coming inside for hot chocolate and home made cookies!
Snowball fights when we get snow! If no snow *we never get much* then its bundling up and going to parks (there is rarely anyone ) and making up adventures and ending it with hot chocolate!
We love tobogganing at our local park. Both kids need their own sleds so they can race each other!

ReplyDeleteOur favorite activity is walking around the Botanical Gardens in St Andrews NB in the evening to check out their amazing lights!
